A checked resource outing — full First Beacon mission remains incomplete

Start here

Choose Start Dive and read First Beacon: activate 2 beacons, collect 15 cells and return to Base Dock. The objective panel also lists two Beacon Parts. Choose Start Dive again and wait for the countdown.

The rules you need

  • Use arrows or WASD on desktop, or the lower-left touch joystick, to steer the submarine. The joystick is an interface control, not an object in the water.
  • SONAR, BOOST and SHIELD are separate actions. Space also activates sonar on desktop; the shown test used the visible SONAR button.
  • Read Energy, Hull, Parts, Cores and Cells separately. Returning near the dock after collecting a few cells does not satisfy the entire mission.

Collect four cells and return with energy: an opening outing, not the full mission

The checked outing began at Energy 100, Hull 100, Parts 0 and Cells 0. It followed nearby gold cell pickups away from the starting area, used sonar and then returned toward the starting dock before the energy reserve ran out. Movement durations and world positions are not a universal route for every dive.

  1. Collect the first cell and inspect the cost

A short upward movement and sonar use produced Cells 1 and Score 20, with Energy 87 and Hull 100 in the capture. The objective remained active: one pickup and a sonar pulse did not activate both beacons.

  2. Keep cells separate from parts

The nearby pickup route reached Cells 4 and Score 80. Parts and Cores stayed at 0, and Hull stayed 100. Gold cell collection was therefore not a substitute for the separate beacon-resource requirement.

  3. Return before spending the last energy

On the return toward the dock, Energy was observed at 33, then recovered to 77 and subsequently 100 near the starting light. Cells remained 4, Parts 0 and the full mission objective was still shown. The test was paused there; it did not complete First Beacon.

What this example teaches

The outing demonstrates a safe decision boundary: resource collection can increase Cells and score while leaving beacon requirements untouched. The return preserves the submarine and shows energy recovery near the starting light, but a full mission still requires the missing cells, beacon resources and activations before extraction counts.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Do not mistake the lower-left glowing joystick for a beacon or dock in the world.
  • Do not call a return a mission victory when the objective is still displayed. This outing has four cells, not fifteen, and no collected parts.

Questions about this board

Is this a complete First Beacon walkthrough?

No. It verifies collection, separate resource counters and a return with recovering energy. The full two-beacon, fifteen-cell mission is still to be completed and documented.

Do cells and beacon parts use the same counter?

No. The HUD lists Parts, Cores and Cells separately; this outing increased Cells to four while Parts and Cores stayed zero.

Other modes and further play

Level Select and Upgrades are visible menu choices, and the first briefing introduces Jellyfish. Later hazards and upgrades need their own verification. The current example teaches the opening resource loop without claiming the full dive or later expedition was completed.
